Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
